The standard defines the requirements for the design and manufacture of removable protective devices, which are primarily intended to protect people from mechanical hazards. The standard applies mainly to machines that are supplied after the release of this standard, to the rules for the use of removable protective devices to minimize the danger due to non-mechanical reasons. The requirements of the standard are valid for fixed and mobile protective devices. The standard does not apply to parts that act on blocking devices (see GOST R 51345) and does not contain requirements for special protection systems that are designed to install and lift loads and to protect against falling objects.
Стандарт определяет требования к конструированию и производству съемных защитных устройств, которые в первую очередь предназначены для защиты людей от механических опасностей. Стандарт распространяется, в основном, на машины, которые поставлены после выхода настоящего стандарта, на правила применения съемных защитных устройств для минимизации опасности из-за немеханических причин. Требования стандарта справедливы для неподвижных и подвижных защитных устройств. Стандарт не распространяется на детали, воздействующие на блокировочные устройства (см. ГОСТ Р 51345), и не содержит требований к специальным системам защиты, которые предназначены для установки и подъема грузов и для защиты от падающих объектов.
